Madhvani scholarships ready
Madhvani Foundation last week launched a Shs500million scholarship programme to be used by university students in the academic year 2010-2011. The funds have been set aside to facilitate brilliant yet underprivileged students pursuing scientific and technical degrees in Ugandan universities.
Scholarship Committee boss, Mr Henry Kyemba says the foundation is to continue playing a role in building Uganda’s intellectual capacity by ensuring that bright students exploit their potential fully by completing their university education.
“With every year that goes by, more and more high caliber students gain interest in this programme. Many of these students have won scholarships and gone on to succeed in their chosen professions,” he said.
“I would like to encourage anyone who thinks they may be eligible, to apply and give it their best shot.”
