The Madhvani Foundation has received more than 1,400 scholarship applications in this academic year to support university students countrywide complete their education.

The applications will be examined under the new leadership of Mr Anthony Butele, who takes over from Mr Henry Kyemba, as the chairperson of the Madhvani Foundation Scholarship Committee. “It is students like these that give Madhvani Foundation a sense of purpose to continue dedicating large amounts of money from year to year in order to support their education,” Mr Butele said.

“They are all brilliant students and all they need is someone to give them a little push,” he said in a statement. The chairperson also said the applications will be thoroughly scrutinised and any form of fraud will result into disqualification of an applicant’s entry.
